CHANGE-MAKERS for Humanitarian Aid and Development Organization (C.H.A.D) is a non-profit making, and non-political National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) that was registered with the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC) on 29th April 2021 bearing registration Number 3610

The Organization is anticipating, working and striving towards transformation of the Society to be self-sufficient and sustainable through education,  empowering, aiding & supporting the disadvantaged & vulnerable Groups of People in communities; especially Children, Women, the Elderly and People with special Needs (PSNs) or disabilities by supporting them with low and high levels of Capacity Enhancement and delivery of Food and non- Food packages of high quality for cost effectives and impact on the basis of basic and social Services provided. 

Background

CHANGE-MAKERS for Humanitarian Aid and Development Organization is a non-profit making and non-political Local Organization that was found on 29th April 2021 by young, energetic and passionate South Sudanese.

The sole purpose of the organization is transforming the society to be self-sustaining and educated by empowering, aiding & supporting the disadvantaged & vulnerable communities especially children, women, & the elderly through delivery of packages of high impact cost effective social services.

Vision

The vision of the Organization is educated, Productive, Just, peaceful and changed Society in which all including women, children and the elderly live a healthy life with a minimized impact of inhuman action on their lives

Mission Statement

The mission of the organization is to actively be of service to the vulnerable communities as an inspirational model by supporting and creating change in the life of these marginalized and vulnerable communities and working together to enhance quality of their lives by training, awareness and education to become empowered and economically independent.

Objectives
  1. To improve the health and nutritional status of the communities of South Sudan through provision of essential health and nutrition care based on practical, scientifically sound and socially acceptable methods and technologies
  2. To work towards reducing through awareness on the spread/transmission of pandemic diseases such as Covid-19 and other diseases such as HIV/AIDS in South Sudan most affected areas as well as other STDs
  3. To support the underprivileged and Vulnerable Communities through provision of quality primary education and advocate for Girls’ Education while encouraging and supporting the learning of all children in order to improve education in the Community for creation of a better human resource base
  4. To support, promote, improve, and assist in increasing the household income in food production through promoting initiatives for sustainable food security and livelihood and facilitate disaster risk management and response among the people through capacity building, good farming programme in order to eradicate poverty and improve their standard of living
  5. To advocate for Gender equity and women empowerment
  6. To provide emergency response to individuals and families in the times of humanitarian crisis
  7. To promote peace building, reconciliation and advocate for justice among the people of South Sudan
  8. To contribute toward the reduction of the proportions of people who are unable to reach or afford safe and clean drinking water and those who do not have access to adequate sanitation and hygiene
  9. To improve community Health through awareness on Water, Hygiene, Sanitation, and Food related diseases including their remedies
  10. To Expand and Promote Evidence of the Value and Impact of Arts for the benefit of Communities in the process of Peace building, Trauma Healing and Awareness through Music, Dance, Theater, Visual Art, Media Arts, literature, Traditional Arts, Presenting and Multidisciplinary Works
